Significant Litigation:
Katina Rose v. John Koewler, Court of Common Pleas, Shelby County, Ohio. Wrongful death and property damage (2007) the Honorable John D. Schmitt presiding. Represented the Plaintiff's family and won for the Plaintiff the largest civil verdict in Shelby County history ($10,500,000.00 verdict).

Represented the Spring Creek Corporation, Court of Common Pleas, Shelby County, Ohio. Served as defense counsel in the action for wrongful death in which the Plaintiff-Decedent's family requested $6,000,000.00 from the Spring Creek Corporation. Defended the corporation and the Shelby County Common Pleas Court Jury awarded zero dollars to the Plaintiff-Decedent's family.

State of Ohio Shelby County Treasurer v. Heritage Four-Memory Gardens Cemetery. Representing the Shelby County Prosecutor's Office, prosecuted a civil action in foreclosure suit against Heritage Four and the Memory Gardens on behalf of approximately 250 Shelby County citizens holding burial plots who where victims of fraudulent criminal activity by Heritage Four. The end result was a victory for Shelby County, resulting in the transfer of ownership of the cemetery from the Heritage Four Company to the Shelby County Turtle Creek Township Trustees. As a result, the cemetery is now well-maintained and all the 250 Shelby County cemetery burial plot deed holders are able to bury their loved ones with respect and dignity.

State of Ohio v. Mark Van Horn (Van Horn Funeral Home). Represented the County in another white collar crime litigation matter and approximately 100 pre-need burial contract holders who had been the victims of fraud by Van Horn Funeral Home. The end result was conviction and the sentencing of Mr. Van Horn to a prison term. Furthermore, all pre-need contract holders have been appropriately compensated, because of my insistence that Mr. Van Horn re-pay each and every pre-need contract holder prior to his completing his sentence.

For more than 28 years with the Shelby County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, represented three different Shelby County Treasurers, in collection and litigation work. Directly assisted in the collection of millions of dollars of delinquent real estate tax, interest and penalty.
